PHYSICIANS’ WORKSTYLE REFORM AT A REGIONAL CORE HOSPITAL
A physician’s workstyle reform system was implemented in April 2024. Our hospital is a 562-bed regional core hospital with 251 full-time physicians located in Tsurumi, Yokohama, and is an acute-care hospital with an emergency center which also functions as a teaching hospital. As a result, our hospital has achieved the “A” level. We hope that the physicians workstyle reform will lead to retaining surgeons in the future, and that future surgeons will be able to provide safe medical care in an environment that is fully satisfactory.
