“Coexistence of treatments for diseases and occupations” was included in the government’s execution plan for working style reform in 2017. Surgical treatments have improved patients’ prognoses, however, patients are forced to work with handicaps after surgery. Therefore, surgeons have important roles for that. The role of surgeons on the supports is primarily to tell patients not to resign their job now, and to cooperate with the balancing coordinators. The treatments will go well by supporting patients in multidisciplinary manner.
