A case of carcinoma of the pancreas with calcification and ossification was presented. A 69 year-old male was subjected to operation for carcinoma of the pancreatic head. The tumor measured 7 × 5.5 × 4 cm and contained bony area in the center. Microscopic study revealed typical ductal carcinoma of the pancreas. A unique feature was the presence of mature bone formation within the parenchyma in addition to focal calcification. This case is the third case of the pancreatic carcinoma with ossification in the world literature. Previous two cases were both pleomorphic carcinoma, and ossification was incomplete (osteoid only or immature bone). From this point of view, the present case is the first case of pancreatic ductal carcinoma with complete ossification.
