MINIMALLY INVASIVE CORONARY ARTERY BYPASS GRAFTING
Minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting (MICS-CABG) has developed from traditional minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass grafting (MIDCAB) and is gaining attention in the treatment of multivessel coronary artery disease. There is a broad spectrum of MICS-CABG, single or multivessel MICS-CABG, and robot-assisted or totally endoscopic CABG. Successful use of bilateral internal thoracic arteries in MICS-CABG has also been reported. Although its long-term outcomes have yet to be confirmed, and there is a specific technical learning curve, MICS-CABG will be one of the essential options to treat multivessel coronary artery disease.
