ADVANCES IN STRIPPING SURGERY FOR INCOMPETENT SAPHENOUS VEINS

A classic Babcock procedure that removes the whole length of incompetent great saphenous veins (GSV) is known to be associated with massive surgical stress. With the use of tumescent local anesthesia and stripping wire to remove the femoral segment of the GSV in an invagination technique, day surgery has become possible.
