Two patients with postoperative sternal wound infection were successfully treated by a pectral musculoctaneous flap. A single-stage procedure of debridement and immediate closure with a pectral musculocutaneous flap can eliminate irrigation, open wound management, or reoperation for closure. Therefore, this method is very safe, simple, and effective for the management of sternal wound infections.
