This is a case report of one of three cases with absence of pulmonary valve associated with Tetralogy of Fallot in our institution.
This 6 year-11 months old girl underwent total correction with insertion of a Hancock A valve (25 mm in diameter) and application of an EPTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane patch for right ventricular outflow reconstruction.
The postoperative course and cardiac performance were quite satisfactory. We recommend the insertion of pulmonary valve for older children with this type of Tetralogy of Fallot.
