RECONSTRUCTIONS OF LERICHE SYNDROME

Department Cardiovascular Surgery, National Fukuoka Central Hospital

Toyokazu Tashiro

The 73 cases of Leriche syndrome were operatted Thromboend-arterectomy or In sertion of Vascular bufurcation prosthesis into the abdominal aorta to iliac a. or femoral a. since 4-1-1967 to 5-15-79 in this hospital. These results are shown Table I and 2.
The complications of the operation over 70 yr. age are revealed variours complications and mortality. The increased mortality maynbe due to operated more poor risk patients. However, these results are suggested no different operative procedure such as bypass graft, thromboendarterectomy or resection bifurcation grafts.
The age itself is not a negative factor since we have successfully operated in 83 yrs age.
