MORPHOLOGICAL STUDY OF BILE DUCT BY PERCUTANEOUS TRANSHEPATIC CHOLANGIOGRAPHY.
(Special Reference to the Process of Dilatation and Diminution of the Bile Duct)

Department of Surgery, Juntendo University School of Medicine

The study was done on the machamism of the bile duct how it dilatated and diminished.
The dilatation of the bile duct starts from the common bile duct and gradually reaches to the common hepatic duct, intrahepatic duct, the first, the second, and the third hepatic duct branch (of the liver).
When the dilatation advances more, the dilatation rate of intrahepatic duct exceeds that of extrahepatic duct.
On the other hand, for the diminution rate of the dilated bile duct after the bile drainage, that of extrahepatic duct proceeds the intrahepatic one.
