THE DEVELOPMENTAL MECHANISMS OF POSTOPERATIVE ACUTE PULMONARY EDEMA AND NEW METHOD FOR THE EARLY DIAGNOSIS

We have collected by "enquête" the various kind of cases of postoperative acute pulmonary edema recognized at the main hospitals throughout Japan, investigated statistically on the pathology of its production in detail and synthetized the experimental results obtained in our department for these several years.
Consequently, we would like to explain on the pathology of its production, the results obtained by studies on the pathologic physiology and the way of thinking, of postoperative acute pulmonary edema and also to introduce here that a new method by phonorespirogram divised in our department might be very helpful as one of the diagnostic aids in the early stage of acute pulmonary edema far the purpose of improving the result of treatment in addition to roentgenological and electromyographical investigations which were made.
