Three hundred and forty-seven breast disease patients were studied clinically for their P32 uptake, and, of this group, 132 were examined pathologically. The conclusi n include the following :
1) Among the patients with malignant tumors, 22 were 25 percent above in their P32 uptake. Of the 103 benign tumor cases, 8 showed 25 percent above and the remaining 94,25 percent below.
2) The P32 uptake of fibroadenoma was generally low, except in one case with a very rapid fibroadenoma enlargement of a high 90 percent.
3) There were three adenoma cases of high P32 uptake. The lowest was 23 percent.
4) As to mastopothia, all but two cases, showed the uptake of below 25 percent, ranging from 33 to 25 percent. The uptake of mastopothia varies, and, when compared with pathological findings, low cases and, also, aged women, showed fibrous in pathological changes.
5) Among the malignant tumor cases, the P32 uptake is generally high, few low cases showed cancerous tissues in relatively localized areas ; or a very small and deeply situated places, where an examination by G-M counter was difficult.
