1) The average normal values determined by the author, were as follows. C.B.F., 61.34 c.c./100 gr. brain/min., C.M.R.O2., 3.12 c.c./100 gr. brain/min., C.M.R. gl., 6.31 mg. gl/ 100 gr. brain/min. and C.V.R., 1.27 mm.Hg/c.c. blood/100 gr. brain/min.
2) During interseizure period of idiopathic epilepsy (46 cases) .
The value of C.B.F. was 49.47 c.c./100 gr. brain/min. C.M.R.O2. was 2.14 c.c./100 gr. brain/min. and C.M.R.gl, was 4.51 mg.gl./100 gr. brain/min, which were slightly decreased than normal values. The value of C.V.R. was 1.52 mmHg/c.c. blood/100 gr. brain/min, which was slightly increased than normal value.
The above values did not show the change between grand mal, petit mal and psychomotor seizure.
The values of C.B.F., C.M.R.O2., and C.M.R.gl. were decreased according to the increase of convulsions.
The value of C.V.R. was increased according to the increase of convulsions.
The values of C.B.F., C.M.R.O2. and C.M.R. gl. were decreased according to the duration of illness.
The value of C.V.R. was increased according to the duration of illness.
3) Previous to convulsions.
The values of C.B.F., C.M.R.R.O2. and C.M.R. gl. were more decreased than the values of interseizure preriod and value of C.V.R. was more increased.
4) After convulsions.
The values of C.B.F., C.M.R.O2. and C.M.R. gl. were considerably increased than the values at the interval and value of C.V.R. was more decreased .
5) During convulsion.
Correct data could not be obtained.
