STUDIES ON THE VASOMOTOR ACTIVITY IN NORMAL AND PATHOLOCICAL STATES
REPORT II: FURTHER OBSERVATIONS ON VASOMOTOR REFLEXES BY SIMULTANEOUS RECORDING OF PRESSURE PULSE, VOLUME PULSE AND RESPIRATION

1) A simple technique for recording pressure pulse from the body surface with a crystal type pickup has been described.
2) Principles and some advantages of the piezoelectric pressure pulse recording have been dicussed.
3) Vascular responses to various stimuli are observed with simultaneous recording of pressure pulse, volume pulse and respiration; namely, responses to startling sound, pain (stinging lightly with a needle), deep breathing, mental arithmetic, recalling memory, breath-holding, (Valsalva's test), and also adrenaline test.
4) There can be seen a certain parallelism between the pressure pulse amplitude and the blood pressure.
