EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON THE CEREBELLAR SEIZURES
PART.1. EXPERIMENTS ON THE INDUCTION OF THE EPILEPTIC SEIZURES IN THE CEREBELLUM

As it has been not clear that in what part of cerebellum is convulsion inductable, and what type of convulsion may occur, I injected 0.01-0.04 cc of 10% Pentamethylentetrazol carefully in each part of rabbit's cerbellum.
Results are as follows :
1. In the vermis, the threshold of convulsion is arround 0.02 cc. Induction of convulsion is easiest in the anterior lobe and simplex Iobulus, easy in the declive, tuber and pyramis vermis, and relatively difficult in the nodulus and uvula vermis.
In the hemispher cortex, the threshoId is 0.03 cc in both the ansiforme and paramedian lobuli. The petrosus lobulus shows the highest threshoId, 0.04 cc.
Cerebellar nuclei ; the threshold of both medial and lateral groups are equally below 0.02 cc, and most sensitive in the cerebellum.
2. When the stimulation is sufficient, convulsion shows 1st clonic-tonic-IInd clonic pattern, and even if the stimulation is given unilaterally, the convulsion occurs over the entire body, in same pattern on both sides.
