ON THE SPLENIC ARTERIAL ANEURYSM
Three cases of genuine splenic arterial aneurysm, which were appeared in Banti's syndrome, are reported.
The three cases were all female, and could be treated by exstirpation of aneurysm with the spleen.
Those aneurysms were discovered unexpectedly on the junction of splenic artery at the time of splenectomy for Banti's syndrome.
Couses of aneurysm are presumed as anatomical malformation on junction of the splenic artery, and hyaline degeneration of the arterial wall occurred in conseqence of Banti's syndrome. (authors' abstract)
