EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON HOMOGRAFTING OF THE SKIN
1. Homo-skingrafting was performed by Krause's method in rabbits, and average survival period of graft could be prolonged 30% longer than that of control group by means of administration of anti-histamic drugs.
2. Hosts were previously desensitized by an antigen which was saline extract of donor's skin. In those cases the average survival period could be prolonged 43% longer than that of control group.
3. After changing antigen producing function of host by means of injection of two different kinds of serum, homografting was performed. The result was fairly similar to that of control group.
4. The skingraft which was implanted homogenously, regenerated like auto-skingraft, capillary networks newly developed and possibility of successful grafting was expected within 5 days after implantation. However, cellular infiltration increased thereafter, exudative, thrombotic and necrotic inflammation of vesseIs occurred and finally graft became necrosis.
5. In such occasion mentioned above, vascular changes were controled in some extent and survival peripd of graft could be prolonged, but it became to be finally necrotic.
