ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHIC STUDIES ON GENERALIZED CONVULSION CAUSED BY INAH (ISONICOTIC ACID HYDRAZIDE)

Surgical Department, Keio Gijuku University Medical School

Shinichiro OTAKE

1) About 60 minutes after intravenous administration of 100 mgm/kg, INAH to dog, generalized clonic convulsions were occurred repeatedly and abnormal discharges were and noticed on E.E.G.
2) About 30 minutes prior to convulsion, marked decrease of amplitude was seen, this phenomenon was happened just before the convulsion, too.
3) Abnormal discharges were synchronized everywhere on both hemisphere.
4) The cerebellum did not take part in this phenomenon.
5) When we blocked centripetal stimulations at the point of the brain stem, E.E.G. showed monotonic regular waves, these waves were thought that deep stimulation was filtrated and cotical discharge was recorded.
