Previously the authors have reported that occurrence of shock was noticeable when over certain amount of electric energy was given between both thighs of rabbit. Clinical signs and prognosis are always in parallel with decrease of blood CO2 content and pH and increase of blood amino-nitrogen. With these objective indicator the occurrence of shock was criticised. We induce shock with those methods and blood circulating time was measured.
Florescein sodium was administered in the auricular vein of rabbit and blood was taken at every second from auricular vein of opposite earlobe. Under illumination of ultraviolet ray, specimen was examined and detectability at the conjuntive were measured. The following results were obtained.
1. In the shock due to electric injuries, delay of circulating time was noticeable.
2. Even in the condition which induce irreversible shock were given, in the eary stage difference with reversible shock was not found by the change of circulating time.
3. The change of circulating time does not occurredsameway in whole body uniformly but difference is noticeable at different region.
4. Procedures which inhibit the occurrence of the shock due to electric injuries, also inhibit the delay of the circulating time. (authors' abstract)
