APPLICATION OF UREA IN PERITONEAL CAVITY
The author examined problems on prevention of peritoneal adhesion by fibrinogenolysis of urea, aud the problems on the use of urea with penicillin in the peritoneal cavity.
1) The experiments were performed in two parts of one rabit in order to avoid individual difference, and one of these was for comparison.
2) Urea prevented peritoneal adhesion more than heparin.
3) Urea prevented peritoneal adhesion after its being once stripped off.
4) Hystologic and physiologic irritation of urea against peritoneal cavity was slight.
5) Prevention of peritoneal adhesion was recognised in the clinical use of urea also.
6) Penicillin blood level was higher and longer in the case of using penicillin together with urea than using penicillin alone.
