By passing 100V.A.C. through both thighs of rabbit, the author has studied about the influence to the living body due to eletric current, and especially the blood AMINO-N and the blood pH was measured to prove the existance of the shock due to electric injuries.
Furthermore, the influence of the general anesthesia during shock due to electric injuries was also studied and the results was as follows:
1. In the cases of over 8,000 joules of electricity being passed shock due to electricity was noticeable.
2. In the cases of under 8,000 joules of electricity being passed no shock symptoms were acknowledged.
3. In the cases previously anesthetized generally no shock due to electricity was noticeable even if the passing amount of electricity was over 8,000 joules which develops shock.
4. ln the cases of general anesthesia just after passing electricity and an hour after passing electricity when passing electricity over amount to cause shock, shock was noticeable but recovers gradually and the shock was reversible.
5. In the cases of general anesthesia two hours after passing electricity, an irreversible shock developed gradually.
6. Various stages of shock could be produced experimentally with certainty and a certain amount of electricity could be given to produce shock.
7. Shock due to electricity could be controlled or be reversible when general auesthesia is performed before or after passing electricity in a certain time.
8. The author has also discussed why no conclusion has been reached to the etiology of the former discussion of death by electricity and the general discussion about the occurrence of shock due to elecricity. He also criticized about the method of producing shock experimentally by electricity and discussed about its value.
