The electric current (100V, ca 450mA, ca 3 min) was given to both thighs of the grown- up rabbit (ca 2 kg) and relationship between electric current and death, general, condition, pulse rate, blood pressure, respiration and blood red cell count were exanimed.
I. In electrocuted-wound, we found that in addition to electric burns, or directly electrocution of vital organs, like heart, brain and lung, there were other causes of death.
2. The development of these causes were inhibited by the adoministration of anesthetic less than 2 hours.
3. These causes were not only neurological or chemical but also neuro-chemical correlation.
4. Considered from the stage of its appearance, general symptoms, blood pictures and blood pressure, it is suggested that this shock-like condition be called electroshock.
5. Within certain limits, we cleared a quantative condition which causes this electric shock.
