Morphological changes of pancreatic exocrine epithelial cells and endocrine epithelial cells were studied in dogs after a complete pancreatic duct ligation over a period of 6 months with electron microscope, and the ultrastructural alterations of A and B cells were also studied after the intravenous stimulation of glucose under the administration of arginine solution. The most of exocrine epithelial cells became atrophy and showed the destruction of these cells over a period of 6 months after Pancreatic duct ligation. And some of A and B cells of islets were destroyed during this period, and B cells which were sorrounded by the collagen fiber did not responded to the intravenous stimulation of glucose under the administration of arginine solution.
