I. The synthetic ability of steroids during the course of experimental endotoxin shock model of rabbits was presumed by means of following the histochemical changes of lipids granules of adrenal cortex.
1) In the group administrated LD50 (1 mg/Kg) of endotoxin, the enlargement of zona fasticulata of the adrenal cortex and the hypersecretion were observed.
2) In the group cramped the vessel of adrenal grand as the model of hypoxia, the degeneration of adrenal cortex was remarkable and the importance of distribution of anatomically terminated of arteries of zona fasticulata of adrenal cortex was concluded.
3) Those results were well compatible with the fact of elevation of plasma adrenal steroids levels during the course of shock.
II. Results of immunoelectrophoresis and crossed immunoelectrophoresis using rabbit anti-rat-C3- serum revealed that C3 in quantity and quality changed by analysis in 0.1 M EDTA added plasma from shock rat.
III. Frozen section of the liver of shock rat was prepared after perfusion with Eisen-buffer and the observation using immuno-peroxydase method was performed. It became clear that there is localization of C3 in Kupffer cells, endothelium and necrotic site of the liver, namely it suggested that opsonin or cytolytic effect appears in organ alteration in shock state by contribution of complements system.
